How to check FAKE and HACKED Pokemon – Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra – Guide
**NOTE 1: There is currently a bug in Sword and Shield where legitimate hatched Pokemon can have the “foggy memory” text. Please keep this in mind when trading and evaluate all other flags if you find yourself in this situation. I will update this description when and if Nintendo fixes the bug**
**NOTE 2: I didn’t mention marks! Consider marks to be another yellow flag on non shinys and even a red flag on shinys! The odds of getting a shiny with a mark of any kind is VERY low so I would be extremely hesitant to trade for any as the vast majority of them will be hacked**
**NOTE 3: Memories should only be used for Pokémon caught in the Galar region at this time! Because of NOTE 1 and because now that Pokémon Home is available, Pokémon transferred into the game from old games may receive that memory text!**

The goal of this video is to help you educate and protect yourself from the many cheaters out there so that you don’t trade away you hard earned Pokemon for something that is fake. Please watch and I urge you to ask me any questions about the content of this video! I will happily answer all the questions I can regarding hacked Pokemon. This video is up to date with all the new methods to add gmax, change abilities, etc. with the changes made in Crown Tundra.
